Inception - are you awake ?

            "Dreams",an exciting subject christopher nolan has taken in his hands this time. We all know how good he is on weaving intricated stories impeccably with his amazing script/screenplay writing ability.He proves himself again with a big hard bang by giving us the INCEPTION.such subjects gives you eternal freedom on anything and everything.It could be on visualizations or could be on characterizations or could be on atmosphere or could be on anything that you could imagine.Your imagination is your limit, when you go beyond that, the dream world exists from where Nolan makes a convincing story out of it.

           Fantacy could have been an easy option but what the director has done in this movie is intelligence. you as an audience will be convinced on the subject completely no matter what.Though the movie is a pile of new ideas, the very core of the movie is the most interesting part which is 'Planting an idea in the mind of a person through dreams'. This left the audience with their jaws stuck atleast me. Ok goody,now you got a great bottomline, but can you enhance and develop it as a complete story ? "YES WHY NOT" says Nolan and he does that using "Nested dreams" - A dream inside a dream inside a dream inside a dream.... till you wakeup :-) interesting ain't it ? not yet ? ok how'bt this ? Those nested dreams can be shared by many people,will be designed by an architect and it will be controlled by a person. This is achieved using a technology called 'Dream-sharing'. what ya say now :-) ? I dont want to do the autopsy of the movie hence i leave it here about the story.

            Certainly a great research and thought process has been done by Nolan and his crew before he took the pen in his hand,it shows on the screen and pays on the box office.Leonardo di caprio is my man, he is truly showing all the signs of a great actor and that is why he has become a favorite hero for all the good film makers. As the movie progresses, Nolan plants a thought in the audience mind too, that is to swing a totem once we reach home n check if it topples :-), i did it i bet you'll do too.

Verdict : Don't Miss it.PERIOD.

June 25 - My Birthday

            Before I could forget my last year b'day celebrations and happenings here comes my next b'day today. Who said a year is a long time ? I disagree :-) nevertheless this day is special to me and wishes from friends and family makes it more than just special. My sister made gulab jaamun to celebrate her dear younger brother's b'day (:-)) he he ).Its a weekday so option of roaming out is ruled out but i'll go to 'Raavanan' movie tonight booked at sangam.

           Personally in the past one year nothing has changed except my age and my age alone. I am still the same person who would immensely enjoy every note of good music that reaches my ears, I am still the same person who would go on journies without any destinations in my bullet. I am still the same person who doesnt grow old on staring at the eternal skies, I am still the same person who desires to bring down my weight but not doing that by hiding behind silly excuses :-). Hope this year would take me to the right places at the right time and more importantly with the right shape :-).

Pehla Nasha - Evergreen

Another divine composition which never fails to rejuvenate the feeling of Love inside me perhaps inside everyone whoever listens it. Jatin-Lalit, the melody masters one of the ever-green composition from the movie 'Jo Jita woh sikkandar'.

A healing song

      A human being may have million superior qualities and capabilities over other living beings in this very earth, but of them all i personally believe that understanding music is the most distinguishing and gifted ability. A good music can light up your senses, it can magnify your happiness, can be soothing when you are in grief and on top of all it keeps you calm and more human.Thanks to Mozarts and Beethovans.I always believe no music or musician can be compared with each other. Every single piece of music that reaches inside you beyond just the ears deserves its own respect and accolades. The one posted below is one such composition from Yuvanshankar raja, he is immensely talented and still haven't got the recognition what he deserves. He deserves far better rewards for his soul-stirring melody numbers.

       As far as me, this is yuvan's best, the best tune that such a illuminating lyrics can get.It lists always on top of my selections.

Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya -- Review

            Movie was over and as the Closing credits was playing on the screen, I was staring the screen with one question in my mind..... When was the last time I was bowled over by such a poignant love story ? and I couldn't remember myself ever been there in such situation in the recent past.... hmmmmm i would say not at all in the past. Yes! 'Alaipayuthe' made us to think about love, 'Love story' by erich segal made us to moan for their love,'Unnale unnale' gave us a glimpse of love in the pragmatic grounds but 'Vinnai thaandi varuvaaya' has raised the bar for the standard of love story to a different level. Its been a long pause since a full length intense love story based movie was released but fortunately Gautham has made our wait a worth.

            Gautham menon has proved his abilities on handling romance in all his previous movies. Though those movies' main theme revolved around a different plot, they all had a thin line of beautiful romance. This movie is a full lenght intense love story and gautham gets a nod unanimously from the audience as 'Yes he has done it again'.Story line is not a revolutionary one, but 'simply superb' is the word to define it. As he decribes in the promos of the movie 'poratti podudhu nammala '. Scene by scene, dialogue by dialogue love overflows but the feel of the movie wouln't have reached the audience if the protoganists failed to emote so well. Till date Simbu/Trisha's best ever performances.I am slightly unconvinced on Trisha's casting. There is no question of Trisha's performance but i felt like this story has to be done by fresh faces.
Simbu was brilliant in his role that is because we have never seen simbu so. He gives a fresh face feeling to us and that is what required for this story. I saw simbu as 'Karthik' but not Trisha as 'Jessi' atleast in few scenes.

        For such a story, music is the life and gautham was scare free and care free in this regard. Why not ? he has handed over the responsibility in the hands which holds 2 oscar and 2 grammys in it. First time joining hands with the Legendary A.R.Rahman and as expected the outcome drenched all of us through enthralling music. Like the 4 seasons.... Spring,Summer, Fall and winter whenever A.R.Rahman's audio launches, the next 2 months would be Rahman season, its Rahman season here now.Songs were placed at the right place at the right time. The visuals of the songs are stunning which adds more charm to them.

Verdict : Gautham Menon is the Phenomenon now.

Thevar magan - My Favourite scene.

Today saw Devarmagan movie, after 18 years even today the movie gives the same feeling of what it gave when i saw it for the 1st time. If Tamil Industry prepares a profile of its own career...the achievements list would not miss Devarmagan, Truly one milestone in Tamil Cinema industry. Out of the whole movie if i am asked to pick a scene which pulls you inside the story, indeed it would be tough to resist the urge of choosing the whole movie but still the scene which is given below defines how good a actor sivaji ganesan was/is. There are few ppl who would impeach the acting skills of sivaji ganesan by saying his as 'Overplaying', for those all-mouth-no-action hypocrites,watch this video where you would fail if you try to get a glimpse of sivaji, all you could see is 'Thevar ayya' and 'Thevar ayya' alone.

So...How was 2009 ?

This is a cliched topic which finds a place in almost all the bloggers pages. It deserves such prominence after all a year beckons us with 365 opportunities, 365 surprises, 365 challenges and what not. It remains the same as ever, it is us who age, change, raise, decline, laugh, wail, wrath.... through the course of its time. Ok  lemme stop this shakesperism and look back 2009. There were many milestones personally here are few of them.

....Got a promotion thru a internal project jump. To me, moving out of my old  'Wax on A**' team (professionally A-team-with-great-visibility ;-) ] gave much reason to rejoice than the promotion.

....I started doing this what i am doing right now... bingo! started to write my own blog (Going gr8 so far).

....Earned my own respect in the new team.

....Traveled a lot than the last year

....Chetan bhagat opened the gates to my Book reading habit, as a result i introduced myself to Jhumpa lahiri,Paulo ceolho,Erich segal and few more authors and finished 10 different novels in 3 months (I am elated abt this new beginning )

.... I owned/own a Bullet classic 350... since then its not just ride it is Pride-ride ;-)


.... One more year, one more opportunity went as a vain attempt in shaping me up physically. ( but i still feel its just the year which is lost not my hopes )

....Took steps to kill the monotonous mode of my life and its doing wonders now.

So overall it was a year which had more reasons to celebrate than to moan , indeed it was a happy journey, hope 2010 has more fun to splash out on me /the entire world.
